In general the incumbent will be accountable for conducting a wide range of subsurface and production engineering activities in conjunction with other departments in order to maximize the profitability of the company’s assets. Said activities extend from the office to the field and include the following more specific duties:

	Applies knowledge of geology, and mechanical and petroleum engineering to provide technical support to operations.
	Applies a broad range of production engineering to complete complex assignments such as maintaining producing properties at a maximum economic rate within governmental and contractual requirements.
	During workover or completions, provides onsite technical support to ensure quality control during critical operations such as logging, perforating, cement squeezing, or stimulation. Provides onsite supervision of all special well work operations from beginning through completion.
	Prepares well workover and completion procedures, cost estimates, project economics, and AFE documentation for submission to management.
	Maintains project management control over well equipment installation, well completion and workovers.
	Provides technical guidance to operators and mechanics.
	Develops and/or researches new techniques and approaches related to reservoir development including infill wells, workovers, secondary recovery, etc. Provides interpretations and conclusions to other team professionals and management to maximize cash flow and NPV.
	Coordinates production, drilling, pump installations, and workovers with Asset or Operations Managers.
	Oversees permit applications, reservoir surveillance, well work procedures and technical review of studies, designs and reports.
	Develops and implements processes for optimum artificial lift and natural flow in wells; accountable for inflow performance of wells, and diagnostic techniques such as production logging, pressure transient analysis and well tests.
	Recommends supplementary processes to enhance recovery-involving stimulation of flow of hydrocarbons from the reservoir by use of processes, such as pressurizing or heating in subsurface regions.
	Acts as a liaison for Operations personnel on chemical programs for wells.
	Conducts economic and risk evaluation of projects.
	Performs periodic well reviews with Operations and Asset teams.
	Prepares and presents technical and financial information relating to current operations and proposed projects for assigned fields to senior management, partners, government agencies, banks, and/or potential investors.
	Provides technical support to the Acquisition Group in the evaluation of a potential property acquisition or joint venture.
	Monitors production rate of gas or oil from established wells and plans.
	Long work hours are frequently required.

Qualified candidates will possess:

	BS or MS in Petroleum Engineering and 10+ plus years experience in oil and gas production.

In addition to the stated management experience, we are looking for at least 15 years of E&P experience (20 years would be even better, and 30 years is probably over-qualified).

Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of a 48+ MW Solid Fuel Fired, Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler and Associated Steam Turbine Generator in accordance with OSHA standards and written Company Policy.

Direct the activities of the Maintenance Department in a manner in which the reliability of plant equipment is maintained, preservation of the capital asset is retained and the plant’s operating revenues are maximized.

Prepare an annual maintenance budget that funds all forecasted maintenance necessary to ensure this plant meets its annual electrical generating capacity requirements as set forth in the budget and as regulated by contract with the contracting electrical utility.

Administer the operation of the Company’s computerized maintenance system (MainSaver) to ensure that maintenance is accurately scheduled and assigned, that outside contractors are contracted with as needed and that the repair parts and materials are correctly identified and ordered to support scheduled work. Ensure that an accurate history of the maintenance performed on this plant is recorded and available for future reference.

Hire, supervise and discipline Maintenance Department personnel as required to support the operation of this Electrical Generating Facility.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Plan long and short term maintenance projects that are necessary to ensure this plant’s ability to meet contractual obligations for annual electrical generation. Review each work request, assign appropriate maintenance personnel and plan the scope of work to be completed.

If outside contractor assistance is needed, initiate required Contract Service Agreements with the contractor prior to commencement of work.

Using Microsoft Project or similar planning software, plan and schedule in detail the annual maintenance outage when the plant will be shut down for repairs.

	Track Maintenance Department expenditures to ensure adherence to annual budget projections, identifying any unbudgeted expense in writing to the Plant Manager and subsequently to the owners of the project.
	Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure correct materials are ordered and on hand to support scheduled maintenance.

Work closely with the plant accountant to ensure that all invoices accurately reflect the costs of contracted maintenance provided.

Supervise the Oil Analysis Program, reviewing the results to determine potential equipment maintenance issues and take action accordingly.

Basic Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day to day administration of the MainSaver Maintenance Management Program. Typical Duties:

	Maintains and develops Quality Control Program. Oversees the ongoing Quality Assurance under the supervision of the Crushing/Hot Plant Superintendent.

	Directs and confers with Crushing/Hot Plant Superintendent to outline and coordinate activities of crushing and hot plant personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
	Reviews status reports prepared by supervisory personnel and works with the Crushing/Hot plant Superintendent to modified schedules or plans as required.
	Prepares project reports for Upper Management, client, or others.
	Confers with pit and hot plant personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

	Manages one material sales representative and one subordinate supervisor, Crushing/Hot Plant Superintendent, who supervises 3 to 4 subordinate supervisors, a total of 15 to 20 employees in the aggregate materials production and asphaltic materials production.
	Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
	Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
